What is an all over colour?
An all over colour is a single process hair colouring technique when a single shade of hair dye is applied in a uniformed way to the head of hair. You can also choose to colour specific sections of your hair to provide contrast, but it’s unlike highlights or a balayage as they offer more of a natural blend.
How does it work?
For this type of hairdressing service there is a process that requires a consulation before hand, typically this is what would happen.
- Consultation: We will discuss the desired hair colour and I will assess and provide opinion based on a variety of factors such as skin tone, we’ll also need to do a skin test 24 hours before.
- We’ll pick a colour together, that matches your desired look.
- Once done, I will return on an arrange date to prepare your hair and apply the dye which will then take time to process.
- After that has processed I will rinse and style the hair to your liking, removing any excess dye and applying conditioning treatment.
An all-over colour can be used to cover grey hair, darken the hair, or change the hair colour completely. It’s a versatile option for those looking to achieve a uniform, solid colour throughout their hair.
